When should we arrive in Palm Springs?

The Welcome Party, which is the first wedding-related event, will begin Friday night at 6pm. We would love if you could join us for this but if not, no worries, we'll see you at the main event! Feel free to arrive earlier than Friday however, if you want to extend your vacation and enjoy more time in the sun! Both the Ingleside Inn and the Avalon can help you with your reservation if you would like to extend your stay longer than our room block provides.

Should we rent a car?

This is addressed in more depth on the Transportation page but it is entirely up to you. While you can walk into downtown from the hotel, Palm Springs is not a "walkable" city. If you plan to venture anywhere outside of the immediate downtown area or if you don't want to rely on Ubers/Lyfts, then we would recommend renting a car.

Can we drive to the wedding?

If you do not want to take one of our bus shuttles to the wedding, you may absolutely drive or take rideshare to the venue. Please note however, that all guests will still need to meet in the parking lot of the Palm Springs Art Museum to be shuttled via golf cart up to the venue. Unfortunately, the Art Museum will not allow wedding guests to park in their lot so rideshare may be the easiest alternative if not taking the bus shuttle from the Ingleside Inn.

What is expected of "Dressy Casual" attire for the Welcome Party?

If anyone has ever went on a trip with Gina, you'll know she loves a packing list. Dressy casual is intended to allow you the flexibility to dress for an evening party in the desert! For ladies, dresses, caftans, linen pants are all wonderful choices. For men, cotton and linen are great options and jackets are not needed.

Do men need to wear a tux if the dress code is "Black Tie Optional"?

No - men in the wedding party will be wearing tuxes so we invite you to as well if you'd like! However, we absolutely understand that is it May in the desert so keep that in mind when dressing. It will likely drop into the 60's at night.

Are kids welcome?

The venue does not allow children under the age of 15 so we kindly ask you not to bring your children.
